St Johns Beach for Mothers Day
Hi everyone, so for Mother's Day the family and I went to the "beach" for 3 1/2 hours. It is about 5 minutes from our house, down under the St. Johns Bridge. The play area is great and easy to keep an eye on your kids. We just relaxed and enjoyed spending time together for the afternoon Saturday. We had to take Sahaan to the airport for schooling in Pasadena for the week on Mother's Day.
Ok, now she got it. She was hard at work the whole time, moving sand from one spot to another - only about 3 ft. from each other. =)
The castle building was a very thought out and time consuming project. Soon they gave up.

Kai was splashed by a big wave coming on shore from boats going by out in the river. He liked it though- and eventually was dripping wet.
Sadiyah had fish club at church that afternoon, but later came to meet up with us at the river.
Kolbie and Kai had stick races, like Tigger and Pooh do in the Hundred Acre Woods. But the sticks kept coming back to shore...go figure.

Kai looking so handsome on the nice hot day.

The kids filling their hole "or little lake" and hoping it doesn't drain all the water out.

Kai cheesin' it up at home May 19.
Kolbie adoring big brother. She is getting very silly trying to be just like him all the time. Except she has a litte devious streak to her. Like dumping a whole load of dirt and pine needles on my kitchen floor from outside. ARRRGGHHH! Or trying to escape out of the house and yard whenever she can, causing us to dead bolt all the doors. Little stinker.
Kolbie petting her Abbie. We have to constantly remind her that she is not a horse, though she may be as big as one. So she cannot ride her or sit on her and jump up and down.
Abbie, trying to look so sad and ignored, but she isn't. She's right in the mix and middle of things all the time, how can she not be, she's huge. She did have her first injury, two days ago. She was sliding down the slide - Yes you heard me right, she goes down the slide just like the kids, but tumbled off the bottom and hurt her back leg. By the next day she was back to running and jumping on us and the fence and chasing her ball around the yard.

Well that's it for now.
As far as my back issues, it turns out my hip has been out of it's joint for over 2 years the doctor thinks, and we are slowly but surely readjusting my back into shape. I am still sore, but it isn't half as bad as it was.
Oh yah, Sahaan performed his first wedding last Friday and it went wonderfully. He did an amazing job and was getting rave reviews at the reception and this following week. Our really good friend that he married is now in Hawaii on her honeymoon.
Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Love you all,
Steph
