More London pictures!

You've all heard of the "London Bridge" right? I pictured something majestic and beautiful and could not wait to see it... Well here it is! Ha!

The picture below is the "Tower Bridge" which is the beautiful, famous bridge we all think of. Isn't it great?

Here it is a dusk, with the lights on... In October it will be the MD&D's London office 50 year anniversary. To celebrate the are renting the catwalk area between the two towers on the bridge! Too bad we'll miss that celebration by a couple of months!

Micah and I below the bridge... taken by my friend Beth (a teacher I work with), who is over there for the summer!

Micah's office is on Fenchurch Building (which is actually a street name, and is close to Fenchurch Street). This is the train station at Fenchurch street. Love the design!

As you know, we can't live without coffee... thankfully Seattle has spread its influence all over London! This is the Starbucks on Fenchurch Street, just a block from Micah's office! I hung out here for an hour or two one afternoon while waiting for Micah to finish work. Great mocha!

Black taxis like this are the only "safe" ones in London, as far as charging the accurate rate. However, we found out that even the drivers don't know where everything is! He couldn't find Micah's building, but we got there eventually!Aaahhh... for the history buff - Here is the British Museum! While Micah rested and watched a bit of the British Open (called The Open over there), I hopped on the tube (underground system) across town and went on a walking tour at the museum.
A replica of the Parthenon...

The Rosetta stone... with the same message written in 3 languages, it allowed us to "read" Egyptian hiroglyphics!

The reading room/Libray of the museum...

The exit from inside the building...

On the inside of Assyrian castled were stone walls carved with a picture story... Here is one about a lion hunt.

Another Starbucks! This one right outside of the British Museum!

"The Eye" of London - a.k.a. The BIGGEST Ferris Wheel EVER!

St. Paul's Cathedral... we didn't actually go in the courtyard or the cathedral itselft... yet. That will have to be done once we move!
